Best Dental Implant in Ahmedabad

We are a team of Internationally trained implantologists. Our USP is the number of implants that we place successfully every year. We place one of the highest dental implants in the city, with an implant surgery happening almost every day. This makes sure that we can handle any case with ease.

Our chief implantologist has the privilege of being a member of the esteemed international council of oral implantology, making them the best dental implant specialist in Ahmedabad. We provide a solution to get teeth over implants in 3 days instead of 3 months without compromising strength. With experience of more than 11 years for a dental implant in Ahmedabad, we are an ideal combination of new-age technology and experience.

The bone grafts that we use are specially imported from the USA and not procured from local dealers. We have all the latest machinery for dental implants at all times in our clinic. We do not rent it. (physio dispenser of satellac®, Sinus lift kit of Osstem®, and implant insertion kits of leading companies). We have successfully placed implants in Ahmedabad even in compromised bone situations because of DensahR (A particular device for thin bone) and Hiossen Cast-kitR (For less height of bone).

What Is Dental Implant?

A natural tooth consists of a crown (the part you see above the gum) and a root (the part hidden under the gum). It is the root in the jawbone that holds the natural tooth in place. A dental implant is a small (8 to 16mm) man-made titanium fixture that replaces the root portion of a missing natural tooth. It is the most preferred solution to replace a missing tooth or teeth.

Osseointegrated implants (All successful dental implants become rigidly fixed to the bone surrounding it, this osseointegration) are effective in over ninety-six percent of all patients treated. Global dental clinic™ is the place for the best dental implants in Ahmedabad with the best success ratio.

How to go about it?

The prosthetic structures necessary to rehabilitate the edentulous or empty space of teeth will be seated on the implants using crowns and bridges.

We are going to list the different phases for implant placement:

1. Study and treatment plan

In the first consultation in the dental clinic, the patient is examined by a dental implant specialist to know the state of the mouth, teeth, tissues, and bone.

After examining different diagnostic tests such as radiographic examinations, CBCT, etc., give a 3D image of the space where the implants and quality of the bone will be located.

2. Intervention and placement of dental implants

The next step is surgical intervention or dental implant surgery.

Within this section, we have to differentiate three stages:

  • The dental surgery itself
  • The waiting time for the union between the bone and the implant (osseointegration process)

Surgical phase

In the first phase of surgery, the dental implant is placed in the jaw.

The patient is anesthetized, so they will not feel any pain during the entire process of placing dental implants.

Implant surgery requires only local anesthesia and the duration is usually from 30 minutes to approximately 2 hours, depending on the number of implants to be placed.

Healing period

Once we have placed the dental implant, the healing stage begins.

Biocompatible titanium dental implants stick to the bone and gradually bond together through the osseointegration process and will take 3-4 months.

A few stitches are usually given to leave the intervention area more protected and avoid possible infections.

One week after implant placement, the stitches are removed.

During the osseointegration period, the implant joins our bone tissues, fixing and integrating tangibly.

Dental implants are made of titanium, a highly biocompatible material with our tissues and bones and so absolutely safe.

3. Placement of the definitive prosthesis

The entire process to place dental implants ends with the fixation of the crown or final dental prosthesis.

From taking measurements or scanning to the final placement of the prosthesis or crowns, it can take between 15 days or two months.

Depending on the type of prosthesis, the appropriate adjustment tests are carried out to ensure that the connection with the implant is adequate and that the aesthetic finish is in harmony with the rest of the patient’s teeth.

Once we have placed all the adjustments, we can put the definitive prosthesis on the implants.

After placing the definitive prosthesis, we set a revision at six months to review the evolution of the patient with the treatment.

4. Annual implantology reviews

Once we have placed the implant and the definitive prosthesis, we will have to carry out a series of reviews and maintenance every 12 months.

These reviews of dental implants in the clinic are necessary to verify that everything is still in perfect condition.

They are routine and straightforward processes but essential to ensure long-term treatment, so they will require certain perseverance in the patient to visit the dentist.

It is essential in the complete dental implant placement process that the patient attends the annual check-ups indicated by their doctor.

If the patient does not attend the annual check-ups, the chances of implant failure will increase and most likely will not last as many years as they should.

Causes of failure of implants

Implant failures are rare. Chances of implant failure increase because of smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, and bad oral hygiene.

Care after dental implant placement

The placement of a dental implant sometimes implies the performance of surgical intervention that, although performed on an outpatient basis and under local anesthesia, must be meticulously planned so that the implant abutment is placed in the right site and a correct way to minimize the risk of implant failure.

On the other hand, for the postoperative period and the patient’s recovery, the surgeon’s skill is essential when producing the least possible damage to the soft tissues since it may depend on whether the pain is more or less intense the days after.

Recommendations after dental implant placement:

  • Apply ice to the area at 10-15 minute intervals for the first 6-8 hours.
  • Do not make an intense physical effort during the 7-10 days after the intervention.
  • Do not eat hot foods or beverages; drink cold liquids (not carbonated) and soft foods at room temperature during the first week.
  • Begin brushing in the operated area 24 hours after the intervention.
  • Do not smoke for seven days after the intervention.
  • Keep the head higher than the body. Sleep with large pillows to avoid swelling.
  • After 24 hours, good hygiene in the area is essential. Rinse with water and salt at least two times a day.

In case of discomfort and inflammation:

  • It is natural to notice some pain after surgery which can be managed by painkillers as directed by the doctor; In some cases, specific inflammation of the affected area may also appear, generally more substantial 48 hours after surgery, disappearing in 3 or 4 days. If medication has been prescribed for you, take it as directed by your doctor.

In case of bleeding:

  • After surgery, slight bleeding may persist from the intervened area; To make it go away, avoid rinsing and spitting as this may break the clot, and the bleeding will continue. If, within 1 hour, compressing the area with gauze, the bleeding continues, call your doctor.
